Transcend: Nine Steps to Living Well Forever by Ray Kurzweil

I was in the market for a book on general health when I came across Transcend. After reading it I realized it was exactly the type of book I needed to read. It provides information about how to practice a healthy style of living and also gives the some of the science about how the human body works in an easily digestible form.

The book provides exercising tips and a handful of sample recipes, which are delicious (although some of the recipes are rather expensive). Without ones health they cannot be happy. But people don’t realize that they need to make a conscious effort to be healthy, which will alleviate depression and increase their overall sense of well being. Knowing this is a requisite for a healthy, happy productive life.

Surely there are other books about living a healthy lifestyle and I can’t say if this one is better than the rest, but I found it very informative and interesting.
